Thorough analyses of all supported HW enables the CSU Logistics Team to continually identify and quantify all field replaceable sub-assemblies required to meet SLAs. This data is then used to stock and maintain comprehensive parts depots at the worldwide CSU support locations and also on-site at select customer locations. In fact, CSU maintains one of the largest inventories of servers and storage equipment in the industry.
Complete Systems…Working Spares: Unlike other support vendors that rely on storage facilities to ship parts to meet up with their service people, CSU technicians have immediate access to the fully tested, operational parts they need for support calls. By stocking all support offices with fully configured spare servers, the CSU Logistics Team ensures that all CSU technicians have hot spares at their disposal.
Stocking spare systems at the local CSU support offices also enables our technicians to configure cloned servers that help them duplicate and troubleshoot customers’ SW issues, and gives our customers the ability to test potential patch, firmware, and other SW changes.
